How old are you, honey?

I hear a lot of folks talking about LL getting rid of age-verification.

Err.. what age-verification? We've got an age-verification process used by Customer Service when someone's been reported as an underager, which persists, but there is no other.

The credit-card? In most countries, you can get a credit-card at 15. In some US states, you can qualify for a credit card at 14, or an indistinguishable debit-card as soon as you're old enough to work for MacDonald's.

Even with a credit-card requirement, we've had kids as young as seven registering for the main grid.

Most of them are fairly obvious, and easily rounded up.

So...what's changed with age-verification? Nothing, noticeably. The credit-card and age-verification are not actually connected, however much people seem to have believed that they are.
