The most powerful word...

Some days, SL can leave you heartbroken. Lost and longing for something that isn't there anymore. Alone, and joyless.

Developers of single-player games look at putting more emotion into their games. Make the player feel something. In SL, that's not necessary. We're putting our emotions into it all the time, and we're all feeling.

SL doesn't do this. We do. You, me, all of us. The technology is cool, certainly, but it's nothing without the people in it. Loving, laughing, crying and caring. Some of us are shy and afraid. Afraid of making mistakes. Afraid of imposing on each-other. Afraid of hurting each-other. Afraid to talk. In RL or in SL.

Kumi Itoku says "The most powerful word in SL is 'hello'."

Do not be afraid to speak. Not to me. Not to anyone. Never be afraid to say hello. When you have something to say, don't be afraid to say what you think. What you feel.

If you don't, you will never know what you are missing.
