Twitter for Dollhouse season 2

My partner and I have recently been watching Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.

Firstly, we can see why a lot of Whedon fans might be disappointed in it. It doesn't carry the same sort of 'flavour' as previous works. Buffy and Firefly had a fairly strong sense of adventure. Dollhouse doesn't have that.

But there's actually nothing really wrong with it. We started watching with no preconceptions as to genre or style, and we've so far been very impressed with the results. It's complex, dark, morally ambiguous, and the cast is doing a tremendous job.

It's got to be hard for Whedon. We think Dollhouse has an awesome flavour, but if it isn't the flavour you are expecting you can be disappointed. Roast beef and chocolate are both great flavours, but if you get roast beef when you're expecting chocolate, that's going to be somewhat offputting.

We, personally, are enjoying it hugely. That doesn't mean you will, or that you should. It doesn't mean that you're not being fair to the series. This sort of thing is hugely subjective and what you think about the show is no less valid than what I think about it.

If it's something you like, though, or that you want to see continue, there's a twitter campaign to encourage Fox to go with Season 2. Thanks to the charming Felicia Day for the heads-up.

Dollhouse. It's not Firefly, but that doesn't mean it can't be satisfying in its own way.

  1. Personally, although I enjoyed Firefly, I found it rather ordinary - having all the stories been done before. Meanwhile, with Dollhouse, I find the writing clever, the character development on par with Buffy and Angel, and the storyline, although it requires patience, pretty outstanding for such a simple idea. If you give Dollhouse time, Whedon hits it out of the park. Again.

I absolutely love Dollhouse. I think the story is really unique and with time it'll get there. Whedon is a fantastic artist.

I truly believe that Dollhouse has extreme potential to develop into a great series, if Fox gives it time to develop. Unlike Firefly of Buffy, Dollhouse does have a very unique storyline and plot. However, I must admit that I am very interested to see what else Dollhouse has in store.

I have been greatly enamored with Dollhouse, true it's not Buffy or Firefly but it's really, really good. As the season progressed it got better and better to the point that I and my sister who has been watching it with me would be upset that each episode wasn't a "two hour special".

I love dollhouse and will be disappointed if it gets cancelled. Why does fox always do that find a good show and then get rid of it.

if you will translate the Dollhouse in russian, you will have much more funs in Baltic countries and in Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazahstan. i can't show it to my friends, because they do not understand english. i hope, this genious movie will be more available for non-english speaking people.
